Laura Harris, an alumna of Christian College, was a suffragist for the Oregon vote. In addition to her advocacy work, Mrs. Harris was involved in many clubs including the Eugene Lewis and Clark Club, where she help the office of president. Caption: "Eugene, Dec. 14 —(Special.)— At the annual meeting of the Eugene Lewis and Clark Club, held at the home of the retiring president, Mrs. D. A. Paine, the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Mrs. Laura Harris; first vice-president, Mrs. B. L. Bogart; second vice-president, Mrs. H. A. Mahon; secretary, Mrs. L. Quiner; treasurer, Mrs. J. W. Hobbs."
