Title
Piano Player
Description
WWII-New Guinea Entertainment.
Ink drawing of a group of soldiers standing and sitting around a piano.
Verso: "The local Red Cross building is the scene of the sketch. A group of fellows were gathered in a dimly lighted corner of the stage, around a battered piano which one of them was playing. One of the fellows has a beautiful tenor voice which he is using to good advantage. Outside it is raining, through the door the boxing matches are visible making a contrast with the group pictured. Behind the men is an oil mural of New Guinea depicting the invasion of the island by the Red Cross."
